The Southwest Washington Central Labor Council stands in solidarity with our sisters, brothers and siblings in the Oregon Nurses Association, and echoes their demand that Providence return to the bargaining table with a fair offer of compensation for these vital healthcare workers and a solid plan to address staffing issues.

Though ONA’s strike against Providence is happening across the river to the south of our region, we know that many of Providence’s healthcare workers live in Southwest Washington and that our healthcare systems are linked throughout the area.

We encourage all working people to show their support for Oregon Nurses Association members and other healthcare workers at a Solidarity Rally being held at the Oregon Convention Center on Saturday, January 11th at 1:00 PM.
