Hundreds of colleges and universities across the country are mobilizing today in support of higher ed as part of the National Higher Ed Day of Action.
In Vancouver Educators Resisting Oppression - a coalition of Clark College Association for Higher Education and Washington Public Employees Association members and other higher ed advocates - is tabling and holding a watch party from 11:30 am to 6 pm Thursday April 17 at Clark College (1933 E. Ft. Vancouver Way, Vancouver 98665 - click here for a map) near or in Gaiser Hall.
Come and create pro-union and pro-higher ed buttons, grab a free social-justice themed (and beautiful) poster and a snack - then stay for the 4 pm watch party featuring prominent voices of higher ed calling for the preservation and defense of free speech and academic freedom: freedom to teach the values we hold dear; freedom to support diversity equity and inclusion; freedom to support immigrants and refugees; freedom to support LGBTQias2+ communities; and freedom to teach the many Truths that are currently being stifled.
Don't miss it!
